Durag Dynasty
Yeah you can call me out on it and say this is sooo last month, but what of it? This trio is dope, and worth checking out. If you're like me and a little slow on the who, what, whens and wheres, Durag Dynasty is made up of Planet Asia, Killer Ben, and TriState. They released their album "360" Waves last month which was produced by Alchemist with features by Evidence, Phil The Agony, Prodigy, Chace Infinite, Big Twinz, and Iman Thug. The Halftime Radio Show’s 15 year anniversary event which was broadcast live on WNYU March 6th. I’m sure these two don’t need any introduction to the real 90’s hip hop heads out there. We all have a connection with their radio show in one way or another. For me it was very badly dubbed (and re-dubbed) cassettes of the shows from a friend of a friend who knew some other dude. That’s how it was back then. Anyways the music and freestyles contained were always sold gold and essential to the culture and its development on the underground. Plus Stretch and Bob were and still are very funny cats. This is a recent interview plus Q&A they did. Check it out. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
